I'm 63 With $1.5M. Can I Spend $10K a Month?
You’ve saved $1.5 million. Now comes the real test.
Can it produce $10,000 a month, or will that pace drain your portfolio?
Most retirees do not get a clear answer until it is too late.
The issue is not just how much you have. It is whether your portfolio was built to pay you, not just grow.
That difference can determine whether your money lasts decades or starts breaking down early.
Sequence of returns, taxes on withdrawals, healthcare costs, and whether the 4% rule still applies all play a role.
Fiduciary advisors created a breakdown showing what drives sustainable income and why the same $1.5M can produce very different outcomes.
If you have $1M or more invested, do not guess.

Got a Vacation Rental? Your Neighbors are Looking.
A few readers have reached out asking if we can help connect people looking for vacation rentals with people who have one to offer. I love that idea.
There's something to be said for renting from a neighbor rather than a stranger. You know who you're dealing with. They know who you're dealing with. And a little extra income going to someone in our community doesn't hurt either.
My family hasn't even booked our summer vacation yet, so if nothing else, I'm proof that it's not too late to get some extra nights booked. If you have a vacation rental with open days this summer, hit reply with the details — where it is, dates available, and a link. If there’s enough interest, we'll put together a list and share it with our readers so they can reach out directly.

Dublin’s First Responders Make It Look Easy
As thousands of visitors descend on Muirfield Village this week, Dublin has been quietly putting together one of the largest public safety operations it runs all year — months in the making.

Dublin Police will be on foot, in golf carts, and around the perimeter managing traffic, with an expanded drone program keeping eyes across all 200-plus acres. Washington Township Fire has extra personnel on duty all week, including bike paramedic units. Fire crews have already been through every tent and temporary structure on the grounds.
The Franklin and Delaware County Sheriff's Offices are part of it too. Deputy Chief Nick Tabernik calls it "all hands on deck" — and he means it.
Most visitors will never think about any of this — they'll just feel it. Hundreds of Dublin first responders making sure the world leaves impressed.
And if you're headed out, don’t forget there's a $10 Lyft discount for rides within 10 miles of Muirfield Village — code DUBMEMORIAL26.

93% of You Said No. We Listened.
Yesterday, I asked whether Dublin Daily should accept political advertising. By the end of the day, the answer was clear: 93% of you said no.

The reason I asked is that I was leaning toward not accepting political advertising. But I also wondered whether that was just me. I grew up in Sweden, where political advertising works very differently, and even after nearly 20 years in the U.S., I wasn’t sure how readers here would feel about it.
Now I know.
What many of your replies said was that you come here for community, not for politics.
So I’m making it official: Dublin Daily will not accept political advertising—now or in the future.
Thank you to everyone who weighed in — including those who reached out asking about the financial impact. I won’t pretend it’s nothing, and I appreciate your concern. But a publication that puts money over its readers' trust isn't worth running.
