These 5 Defense Stocks Could Define the Next Decade
Every major shift in defense procurement creates a new set of market winners. The current shift toward AI-enabled systems, satellite infrastructure, and advanced aerospace is moving faster than most investors realize, and the companies leading it are still early enough to offer real upside. We put together a research report that names five of them, breaks down their technology and contract position, and explains the investment timing. Whether you're actively building a defense allocation or just want to understand where the sector is heading, it's worth 10 minutes.

One of America's Great Circuses Started on Our Streets
Most people don't know this about Dublin: one of America's most famous circuses started right here. In 1871, four brothers — Lewis, Peter, Ephraim and Allen Sells — founded the Sells Brothers Circus in Dublin, eventually growing it into one of the premier traveling shows in the country before selling to Ringling Brothers in 1904. This Saturday, Historic Dublin is bringing that story back to life.
The Sells Brothers Circus Celebration runs from 1 to 4 p.m. this Saturday, June 27, turning Historic Dublin into a turn-of-the-century circus midway — live performers, themed activities, a Circus Crawl through participating businesses, circus treats, and historic posters throughout the district. It's part of Dublin's America 250 celebrations, which have been digging into the city's actual history all year.
The fun continues Sunday, June 28, with something worth carving out time for: Fred Pfening, a Sells Brothers circus historian, gives a free presentation on Dublin's circus history from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Dublin Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. If you've ever been curious about how a small Dublin farming community produced one of America's great traveling shows, this is the afternoon to find out.

Cinema Saturdays Caps Off a Packed Dublin Weekend
Saturday is shaping up to be a full day — and it's not done after the circus wraps up in Historic Dublin at 4. Head over to Riverside Crossing Park that evening for Cinema Saturdays, the city's free outdoor movie series that's will draw families to the Scioto all summer long.
This week's edition is a double feature on a giant screen right by the river — Inside Out 2 at 6 p.m. for the families, then Black Panther at 8 for the older crowd once the kids are winding down. It's a smart lineup: you can make a full evening of it, or just come for one. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and whatever snacks you feel like — no tickets, no cost, just show up at 245 Riverside Drive.
A circus in the afternoon and a movie by the river at night. Not a bad Saturday in Dublin.

A $100M Investment Is Headed Our Way
If you've got aging parents — or you're starting to think about that chapter yourself — something worth knowing is taking shape on that stretch between Lifetime Fitness and Mount Carmel on Bright Road. The Beacon, a $100 million senior living campus, just got its first phase approved on the 22-acre site right there at the Bright Road and Emerald Parkway roundabout.
Phase 1 is a four-story building with 141 independent and assisted living units and underground parking. That's just the start — the full project runs four phases and 375 units across three interconnected buildings, developed by Powell-based Newbury Companies. The amenity list is worth noting: indoor pool, greenhouse, movie theater, spa, virtual golf, pickleball and bocce ball courts, putting greens, walking paths, and outdoor dining. This is not a standard assisted living facility.
For those of us thinking about this chapter — for ourselves or our parents — it's another serious option to add to what Dublin already offers. Worth keeping an eye on as it takes shape.

You Asked How to Help. Here’s How.
A few of you have reached out asking how you can support Dublin Daily — and honestly, it means a lot just to hear that. Here's what actually helps.
The single biggest thing: forward this to a neighbor, a friend, or anyone who loves Dublin and might not know we exist yet. Word of mouth is everything for a local newsletter. Or just share dublinohiodaily.com next time Dublin comes up in conversation.
If you ever have a tip — a local business worth spotlighting, an event coming up, something happening in your neighborhood — hit reply and tell us. That's the fuel that keeps this going.
We also have sponsors who make Dublin Daily free. If something catches your eye, click their links — it makes a real difference.
Thanks for being here. Dublin is a better place to live when we're all looking out for each other — and that's really what all this is about.
