Is Your website Actually Bringing in Customers?
We're Sparqflow — we do web design right here in Dublin. If your website hasn't sent you a new customer in a while, that's a fixable problem, not a fact of life.

We recently took one local business from a quiet site to a 74% traffic jump and 200% more leads in two months.
Curious what that could look like for your business?

The Rec Center Is About to Close for a Week
If the Dublin Community Recreation Center is part of your regular routine, you’ll want to plan around this one.
The DCRC will close Saturday, August 29 through Monday, September 7, for its annual maintenance shutdown. It reopens Tuesday, September 8.
And they’re doing quite a bit while everyone’s out. Crews will refinish the gym and fitness studio floors, clean ducts, carpets and windows, paint, power wash and — perhaps the biggest job — drain and clean the pools.
If you still want to get a workout in, the city is offering free pop-up fitness classes at Coffman Pavilion at 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday that week.
DCRC members can also use the outdoor North Pool during the shutdown, although you’ll want to check its fall hours before heading over.
So you’ve got a little more than a week before the doors close. If your Labor Day weekend plans included the rec center, you’ll need a Plan B.

Scioto’s Orchestra Just Landed a Pretty Big Gig
Dublin Scioto’s Chamber Orchestra just found out it’ll be performing at one of the biggest music education conferences in the country.
The group has been selected to perform at the Ohio Music Education Association’s (“OMEA”) annual conference in Columbus this January — where only about 30 ensembles from around the state are chosen to take the stage.
That’s a pretty nice honor for the Scioto musicians, who are coming off a Superior rating at OMEA’s state orchestra competition last year.
And apparently Dublin orchestras have developed a bit of a reputation with the group: Coffman’s Chamber Orchestra was selected to perform at the same conference in 2024.
This year’s conference runs January 28–30 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. OMEA hasn’t released the full performance schedule yet, so we’ll have to wait to find out when Scioto takes the stage.

A Dublin Grad Is One of the Big Ten’s Players to Watch
Remember Andre Roberts, the Dublin Coffman grad playing soccer for Ohio State?
Here’s an update: the Big Ten just named him one of its Players to Watch heading into the 2026 season.
Roberts is now a senior midfielder for the Buckeyes and one of just three Ohio State players to make the conference’s preseason watch list.
He’s already had quite a run in Columbus. Roberts made the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2023, and a year later helped Ohio State win both the Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles before making a run to the College Cup semifinals.
Now he’s heading into his final season — and apparently the rest of the Big Ten is paying attention.
The season starts quickly, too. Ohio State opens at home against Virginia Tech tonight at 8 p.m.

A Note From Nick
You Asked How to Help. Here’s How.
A few of you have reached out asking how you can support Dublin Daily — and honestly, it means a lot just to hear that. Here's what actually helps.
The single biggest thing: forward this to a neighbor, a friend, or anyone who loves Dublin and might not know we exist yet. Word of mouth is everything for a local newsletter. Or just share dublinohiodaily.com next time Dublin comes up in conversation.
If you ever have a tip — a local business worth spotlighting, an event coming up, something happening in your neighborhood — hit reply and tell us. That's the fuel that keeps this going.
We also have sponsors who make Dublin Daily free. If something catches your eye, click their links — it makes a real difference.
Thanks for being here. Dublin is a better place to live when we're all looking out for each other — and that's really what all this is about.
— Nick
