Well, That Didn't Take Long!
Yesterday, we reported that Moe's Southwest Grill on Hospital Drive had closed after its lease expired. Well, it turns out there's already another restaurant planning to move in!
According to Columbus Business First, Aladdin's Eatery is taking over the former Moe's space at 7000 Hospital Drive.
If you're not familiar with Aladdin's, it's a Cleveland-based chain serving Lebanese and Mediterranean food, including hummus, falafel, shawarma and rolled pitas. They already have five restaurants around Columbus, and Dublin is next on their expansion list.
No opening date has been announced yet, but it's nice to see another restaurant planning to move into the space so quickly.

A Family Reunion With a Ghost?
Imagine gathering with your relatives to find out who's inheriting the family fortune. Now throw in a witch, an estranged daughter, a therapist and a rather sarcastic ghost. What could possibly go wrong?
That's the premise of The Hobgoblin of Little Minds, a new comedy making its world premiere at Dublin's Abbey Theater this week.
The story begins after the death of wealthy Ethel Ortiz, whose family and friends gather for the reading of her will. But with old secrets, complicated relationships and some rather unusual personalities in the room, things don't exactly go smoothly.
The show runs November 5–8 and 12–15 at the Abbey Theater inside the Dublin Community Recreation Center. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors.

An NFL Draft in a Dublin Classroom?
Imagine getting to follow your favorite NFL team during school hours. And instead of just watching the games, you're using what happens on the field to learn math and other things.
That's the idea behind NFeLementary, a program Molly Love is using with her fourth-graders at Indian Run Elementary.
At the beginning of the school year, each student drafts an NFL team. Then, as the season unfolds, they track wins and losses, collect player statistics and use those numbers to practice fractions, decimals and percentages. They even learn geography by following where the teams are based.
And here's what makes it interesting. Instead of working with numbers pulled from a textbook, the students are working with real results from teams they've chosen themselves. Every week brings new statistics to explore, and a reason to care about getting the math right.
Love has even brought other lessons into the mix, including a youth mental health initiative from Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young. That caught the attention of a Charlotte TV station, which recently featured her classroom.
Pretty clever way to make fourth-grade lessons a little more exciting. You can watch the TV story here.

A Note From Nick
You Asked How to Help. Here’s How.
A few of you have reached out asking how you can support Dublin Daily — and honestly, it means a lot just to hear that. Here's what actually helps.
The single biggest thing: forward this to a neighbor, a friend, or anyone who loves Dublin and might not know we exist yet. Word of mouth is everything for a local newsletter. Or just share dublinohiodaily.com next time Dublin comes up in conversation.
If you ever have a tip — a local business worth spotlighting, an event coming up, something happening in your neighborhood — hit reply and tell us. That's the fuel that keeps this going.
We also have sponsors who make Dublin Daily free. If something catches your eye, click their links — it makes a real difference.
Thanks for being here. Dublin is a better place to live when we're all looking out for each other — and that's really what all this is about.
