I'm 63 With $1.5M. Can I Spend $10K a Month?
You’ve saved $1.5 million. Now comes the real test.
Can it produce $10,000 a month, or will that pace drain your portfolio?
Most retirees do not get a clear answer until it is too late.
The issue is not just how much you have. It is whether your portfolio was built to pay you, not just grow.
That difference can determine whether your money lasts decades or starts breaking down early.
Sequence of returns, taxes on withdrawals, healthcare costs, and whether the 4% rule still applies all play a role.
Fiduciary advisors created a breakdown showing what drives sustainable income and why the same $1.5M can produce very different outcomes.
If you have $1M or more invested, do not guess.

Wendy's Just Lost a Title It Held for Six Years
It’s been a rough stretch for one of Dublin’s most recognizable hometown companies.
Wendy’s has lost its spot as the No. 2 burger chain in the U.S. by systemwide sales, with Burger King moving back ahead of it six years after Wendy’s took the title.
The two chains have been heading in pretty different directions lately. Wendy’s has now posted six straight quarters of declining U.S. same-store sales, including a 7% drop in the latest quarter. Burger King, meanwhile, just reported an 8.5% increase.
Wendy’s new CEO, Bob Wright, isn’t sugarcoating where things stand. “Today we are clearly not performing at our potential,” he said. The company is now working on everything from its menu and value to marketing, restaurant operations and the digital experience.
It’s a notable shift for a company headquartered right here in Dublin — especially coming just a few months after reports that Trian was exploring a potential deal to take Wendy’s private.

Getting to Know Dublin's Seven New Principals
We’ve told you about the seven new principals coming to Dublin City Schools this fall. Now, with the first day getting closer, the district is giving families a chance to get to know them beyond the job titles.
They’ve been rolling out a series of short profiles, and there’s a nice mix of stories in there — some are longtime Dublin educators stepping into the top job at schools they already know well, while others are brand new to the district.
They’re quick, personal reads, and with the first day of school almost here, it’s a nice way to meet some of the people who’ll be welcoming Dublin kids back through the doors.
You can meet all seven here.
We wish them all the very best luck in the new school year!

Another Data Center Fight, On Our Border
Something interesting is happening just across Dublin's northwest edge.
While Dublin recently decided to remove data centers as an allowed use in its West Innovation District, neighboring Jerome Township has been dealing with a much messier version of the same issue.
Back in September, Jerome Township trustees passed a nine-month moratorium on new data center applications, driven by resident complaints about noise, concerns over the strain on infrastructure, and questions about how much these massive facilities actually give back to the community. There are already Amazon data centers there, and neighbors have complained about a persistent industrial hum coming from the sites.
It's gotten more serious than noise, too. An April 2025 fire at one of the facilities reportedly kept firefighters on scene for about 30 hours and caused an estimated $50 million in damage.
The moratorium didn't fully hold, either. Despite the pause, zoning certificates were issued for four proposed data center developments — two submitted before the moratorium took effect, two after — which didn't sit well with residents once it came to light earlier this year.
So while Dublin has drawn a line on its western edge, our neighbors just a few miles away are still sorting out where — or whether — theirs holds.
With Central Ohio becoming one of the country's major data center hubs, this probably isn't the last time we'll be talking about it.

A Note From Nick
You Asked How to Help. Here’s How.
A few of you have reached out asking how you can support Dublin Daily — and honestly, it means a lot just to hear that. Here's what actually helps.
The single biggest thing: forward this to a neighbor, a friend, or anyone who loves Dublin and might not know we exist yet. Word of mouth is everything for a local newsletter. Or just share dublinohiodaily.com next time Dublin comes up in conversation.
If you ever have a tip — a local business worth spotlighting, an event coming up, something happening in your neighborhood — hit reply and tell us. That's the fuel that keeps this going.
We also have sponsors who make Dublin Daily free. If something catches your eye, click their links — it makes a real difference.
Thanks for being here. Dublin is a better place to live when we're all looking out for each other — and that's really what all this is about.
