Is Your website Actually Bringing in Customers?

We're Sparqflow — we do web design right here in Dublin. If your website hasn't sent you a new customer in a while, that's a fixable problem, not a fact of life.

We recently took one local business from a quiet site to a 74% traffic jump and 200% more leads in two months.

Curious what that could look like for your business?

Watch Out for Second Floor Break-Ins

A reader reached out this week with something worth passing along, even though we haven't been able to independently confirm it. She said a crew appears to be targeting Dublin homes through upstairs windows in broad daylight — avoiding the glass-break and motion sensors most people have on the first floor. She said they don't seem bothered by cameras and have been bold about it, with one incident reported in Tartan West Friday afternoon.

Watch Out for Second Floor Break-Ins

We don't have official confirmation of a pattern, so take this as one unverified report rather than a confirmed trend. But it's a fair nudge either way — upstairs windows are easy to overlook when locking up, especially monitoring-wise, since a lot of home security setups focus on the ground floor.

BD's Mongolian Grill said goodbye this week

BD's Mongolian Grill at Festival Centre closed for good this week, after 27 years of letting people build their own stir-fry bowls and ring the gong on the way out. The notice taped to the door this week didn't give much warning — just a thank-you to regulars for the birthdays, the all-you-can-eat nights, and the fried Oreos.

BD's Mongolian Grill said goodbye this week

The brand's been through a few owners since it started in 1992, most recently landing under Craveworthy Brands, a group that owns more than a dozen restaurant chains.

No word yet on what's moving into the space — we'll keep you posted when we know more.

Big Changes Coming at Jerome and Coffman

Starting this fall, Jerome and Coffman both get new principals — and both of them grew up in Dublin schools themselves. Dr. Bryan Arnold, a 2002 Scioto graduate, takes over at Jerome, while Wayne Tsai, Scioto class of 2004, steps into the role at Coffman.

Big Changes Coming at Jerome and Coffman

Arnold's path is a full loop: he started his career teaching social studies at Coffman, moved over to Jerome, and has spent the last several years as Jerome's assistant principal before now taking the top job there. Tsai taught math for a decade before moving into administration, then spent the past five years as Coffman's assistant principal — so neither of them is walking into an unfamiliar building.

It's part of a "grow your own" approach the district's leaning into — promoting people who already know the schools and the community instead of hiring from outside. For two guys who once sat in Dublin classrooms as students, now running them is a pretty good full-circle moment.

A Note From Nick

You Asked How to Help. Here’s How.

A few of you have reached out asking how you can support Dublin Daily — and honestly, it means a lot just to hear that. Here's what actually helps.

The single biggest thing: forward this to a neighbor, a friend, or anyone who loves Dublin and might not know we exist yet. Word of mouth is everything for a local newsletter. Or just share dublinohiodaily.com next time Dublin comes up in conversation.

If you ever have a tip — a local business worth spotlighting, an event coming up, something happening in your neighborhood — hit reply and tell us. That's the fuel that keeps this going.

We also have sponsors who make Dublin Daily free. If something catches your eye, click their links — it makes a real difference.

Thanks for being here. Dublin is a better place to live when we're all looking out for each other — and that's really what all this is about.

— Nick
