Your Backyard, All Four Seasons

Most backyards get about 90 good days a year. Yours could get 365.

Think about the moments you keep postponing "until summer": the birthday dinner outside, the Sunday morning coffee, the late-night talks with friends. A Hansø pergola stops the waiting.

Adjustable louvers let you chase the sun or shut out the rain. The structure is built from T6 aerospace-grade aluminum and engineered for up to 167 mph winds and up to 65 PSF snow load, so it's still standing strong when the weather isn't.

Early Bird Offers LAST CHANCE: save up to 40% on pergolas, plus a $1,000 installation voucher*, a Free Hansø ProCheck Care™ 10-Year Plan worth $950, and some FREE accessories to keep fall and winter evenings cozy.

Most pergolas are just for summer. Yours is for every season.

Your competitor isn’t better. Just better known.

You know the feeling. The competitor down the street is always packed, and you know you're better. It's rarely about who's best. It's about who comes to mind when people decide.

Every morning, 4,500+ of your Dublin neighbors get this newsletter. Give me 15 minutes and I'll show you how to become the name they think of.

Today Is Election Day!

Just a quick reminder that today is Election Day!

Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. And since Dublin stretches across Franklin, Delaware and Union counties, it's worth double-checking your polling location before heading out.

Today Is Election Day!

You can find your polling place and other voting information on the City of Dublin's election page.

And once you've voted, don't forget about those election signs in your yard. Dublin is collecting them for recycling at the City Development Building, 5200 Emerald Parkway.

You can drop them off anytime, day or night, through November 13.

Japanese Tech Company Doubles Down on Dublin

If you’ve ever used the navigation screen in a Honda, there’s a decent chance a company on Parkcenter Circle had a hand in it.

They’re called Micware, and they make software for vehicle navigation systems, dashboard displays and other features in modern cars. Honda and Toyota are among their customers.

And this isn't some tiny startup. The Japanese company has around 600 employees worldwide, brings in more than $140 million in annual revenue, and accounts for about 15% of Japan's car navigation market.

Japanese Tech Company Doubles Down on Dublin

But what brought them to Dublin?

Micware used to run its U.S. operations out of California. In 2019, they moved their North American headquarters to Dublin, largely because of Honda's research and development operations nearby.

And it wasn't just Honda. Micware's North American president explained in an interview last year that Dublin also offered easy access to automakers in Michigan and a growing network of companies working on vehicle technology.

Now they're growing. Micware just opened a new office at 5525 Parkcenter Circle, with twice as much space as the old one.

Of all the places they could have set up shop, they picked Dublin. Seven years later, they're doubling down.

Dublin Has a New International Champion!

Remember Avery Decker, the Dublin Jerome freshman we told you about who was heading to Mexico with the U.S. Under-15 Girls' National Soccer Team?

Well, she's coming home a champion!

Avery and her teammates just won the 4 Nations Tournament in Mexico City, defeating Uruguay, Paraguay and Mexico to finish undefeated.

Dublin Has a New International Champion!

And they did it against some tough competition. The American girls were playing against teams whose players were generally a year older.

But here's what makes Avery's accomplishment even more impressive. She started two of the three games as a center-back and was named team captain against Paraguay and Mexico.

Think about that. A freshman from Dublin Jerome was captaining the U.S. national team in an international tournament.

Not a bad way to spend a week in Mexico!

A Note From Nick

You Asked How to Help. Here’s How.

A few of you have reached out asking how you can support Dublin Daily — and honestly, it means a lot just to hear that. Here's what actually helps.

The single biggest thing: forward this to a neighbor, a friend, or anyone who loves Dublin and might not know we exist yet. Word of mouth is everything for a local newsletter. Or just share dublinohiodaily.com next time Dublin comes up in conversation.

If you ever have a tip — a local business worth spotlighting, an event coming up, something happening in your neighborhood — hit reply and tell us. That's the fuel that keeps this going.

We also have sponsors who make Dublin Daily free. If something catches your eye, click their links — it makes a real difference.

Thanks for being here. Dublin is a better place to live when we're all looking out for each other — and that's really what all this is about.
