A Company in Dublin Is About to Double Its Workforce
Add another name to the list of Dublin companies growing fast: John W. Danforth Company is nearly doubling its workforce here.
Danforth is a mechanical contractor — HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and the kind of specialized work that goes into data centers — and it's had a Dublin office on Shier-Rings Road for a while now, largely thanks to the growing number of data center projects in the region. Now the company's moving to a bigger space at 6750 Crosby Court to make room for all the new hires.
City Council approved an incentive deal to go along with it: a two-year, 15% break on income tax withholdings, then five years at 10% through 2033, capped at $353,000 total, plus a $50,000 grant toward the move and renovations. In exchange, the city expects roughly $1.9 million in additional income tax revenue over the life of the deal.
Whatever's driving Dublin's growth lately, it's not just new companies moving in — it's also the ones already here deciding to keep growing right here.

Here’s a last-minute one that came across our inbox — and with Ohio State tickets involved, we figured some of you might want to know.
Dublin-based Team For A Cure is raffling off two tickets to the November 7 Ohio State-Oregon game at the Shoe, with 100% of the proceeds going toward cancer research at the James Cancer Hospital. The group has been doing this kind of fundraising since 2007 and has raised more than $1 million along the way.
The seats are in Section 23D, Row 11, and tickets are $50 each or three for $100. The catch: you must enter today. The winner will be drawn tomorrow.
So if Ohio State-Oregon was already circled on your calendar, here’s a chance to potentially get yourself into the game while putting the money toward something considerably more important.

Dublin’s Getting a German Christmas Market
Here’s some big news for this year’s Christmas: Dublin is getting its own European-style Christmas market.
Christkindlmarkt Dublin will take over Riverside Crossing Park from November 21 through Christmas Eve, with German food, warm spiced Glühwein, artisan vendors and live entertainment. Think traditional German Christmas market — little vendor stalls, food and drinks — right at the base of the Dublin Link. Admission is free.
And apparently this has been a while in the making. Dublin first started exploring the idea back in 2022, eventually selecting an outside operator to bring the market to life. The plan isn’t for this to be a one-off either; organizers hope to bring it back every year.
There are still some details we don’t know, including exactly which vendors and performers will be there. But the market will generally be open Wednesday through Sunday, and organizers are even creating a limited-edition Glühwein mug for the first year.
So four years after Dublin first started kicking around the idea, we’ll finally get to see what a German Christmas market looks like in Riverside Crossing Park.
