Books closed Sunday. You found out Monday morning.

Most small teams close the books late, by hand, on a Friday nobody wanted to work. Viktor does it before you ask. He is an AI employee that lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams and runs your month-end close on a schedule. He reconciles Stripe, QuickBooks, and your bank, catches duplicate charges and anomalies, disputes them, updates the runway model, and rebuilds the board deck. Sunday night it is done and posted to #finance. Monday morning you read it with coffee, already finished. Viktor works across 3,200+ integrations, keeps your data private (it never trains models on it), and is SOC 2 certified. Start free with $100 in credits, no credit card.

Before You Head Out Tomorrow, Read This

If you're heading to the parade tomorrow morning or the fireworks at night, here's what to know before you hit the road.

For the parade, Metro Place North at Frantz Road closes at 9 a.m. Expect more closures and limited access from 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. around Metro Center, Frantz, Bridge Street, Riverside Drive, and South High.

For the evening celebration, residential streets near the festivities won't allow parking. Parts of Emerald Parkway close from around 9:30 to 11 p.m., and Adventure Drive closes between Coffman Road and Fitzgerald Road.

The good news: free parking is available in eight lots near Dublin Coffman High School.

Quick Poll: Dublin Watch Party for USA vs Belgium?

One of the things I've genuinely loved about this World Cup is watching people from every corner of the world come here and experience it — and getting a front-row seat to what American culture looks like when it's at its most welcoming and excited. It's been something else.

The Crew kicked off their Soccer Celebration series right here at Bridge Park back on June 12 for the opening USA game, and the energy was electric. Since then the public watch parties have moved downtown, and honestly the buzz around here has felt like it's died down a little as a local thing — even as the tournament keeps getting better.

Monday night is different. USA vs Belgium in the Round of 16, 8 p.m. on FOX, with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line. If you want to go all out, the Crew has a free watch party at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field downtown — that's a great option if you don't mind the drive.

But I've been wondering if there's appetite for something closer to home. First question: does anyone know of a great Dublin spot that's got something going for Monday night — a bar, a restaurant, anywhere with a screen and some buzz? Hit reply and let me know. I haven't found one yet, but would love to share it with everyone else.

If nothing turns up, I'm happy to call around and see if we can get a group together somewhere. Just need to know roughly how many of us we're talking about first.

Dublin's OSU Expansion Just Got Approved

A few weeks ago we covered Ohio State's plans to buy 16 acres next to the Wexner Medical Center facility on University Boulevard and build at least 150,000 square feet of new specialized medical space. Dublin City Council voted the other day to approve the deal, so this one's moving forward.

According to Ohio State, the existing building is already handling nearly 2,000 patient visits a day with more than 1,000 new patients coming through the door every month. That's a lot of people getting their care right here instead of driving to Columbus. If that pace holds, the new building starts to make a lot of sense.

Construction has to start by the end of 2031, and Ohio State has first right of refusal on another parcel just west of the current facility through 2028 — so this probably isn't the last expansion we'll see out there.

A Note From Nick

You Asked How to Help. Here’s How.

A few of you have reached out asking how you can support Dublin Daily — and honestly, it means a lot just to hear that. Here's what actually helps.

The single biggest thing: forward this to a neighbor, a friend, or anyone who loves Dublin and might not know we exist yet. Word of mouth is everything for a local newsletter. Or just share dublinohiodaily.com next time Dublin comes up in conversation.

If you ever have a tip — a local business worth spotlighting, an event coming up, something happening in your neighborhood — hit reply and tell us. That's the fuel that keeps this going.

We also have sponsors who make Dublin Daily free. If something catches your eye, click their links — it makes a real difference.

Thanks for being here. Dublin is a better place to live when we're all looking out for each other — and that's really what all this is about.
