One Day, 100 Kid-Run Businesses at Riverside Crossing Park

Think about every local business that makes Dublin what it is — someone in our community had an idea, took a risk, and built something real. On June 13, some of our youngest neighbors get their shot at doing the exact same thing.

The Children's Business Fair is coming to Riverside Crossing Park, and these aren't lemonade stands. These kids have spent weeks developing real brands, building actual products, and figuring out pricing and marketing — then they open their doors to real customers for one incredible day.

If you know a kid with an entrepreneurial spark — or just one you want to inspire — this is your moment. Registration is $75 at childrensbusinessfair.org/columbus-acton. And if you just want to come cheer them on, admission is free.

This is our community investing in its next generation. Let's show up for them.

So Here’s What We Really think About Bridge Park

Yesterday we asked what you really think about Bridge Park — that went from forgettable to one of the most talked-about corners of Dublin in about five years flat. Hotels, restaurants, apartments, a riverfront park that didn't exist a decade ago.

More than 80% of you called it a net positive, with over half going straight to "strong positive." That's a neighborhood that looked at one of the most ambitious bets our city has made in decades and said: yeah, that was worth it.

Not everyone landed there — about 1 in 5 pushed back — and that's a real part of the story too. But mostly, this is a community that's proud of what Dublin pulled off. That's not nothing.

We'd love to hear the story behind your vote — the Friday night ritual, the thing you miss, the moment it clicked that this place had actually changed. Hit reply.

Car Accident Claims a Dublin Neighbor

Some heartbreaking news close to home. A 67-year-old Dublin woman passed away Saturday night after her car drove into a retention pond in Liberty Township near Powell.

Witnesses said she went the wrong way around a roundabout before driving off the road and into the pond. Divers responded, broke her window and pulled her out — but she had been underwater for about 20 minutes. She passed away at Mount Carmel Dublin Hospital.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating. No cause has been determined.

Our condolences to her family and everyone who knew her.
