Halloween Fun at Coffman Park
Dublin's Halloween Spooktacular is back today and tomorrow!
Coffman Park will be filled with costumes, Halloween activities, entertainment and plenty of treats for the kids.
And don't let the weather scare you off. The event is happening rain or shine.
If you're hoping to take the kids through the popular Trunk-or-Treat Trail, there are still a few tickets available, but they're running low.
So if you haven't made Halloween plans yet, this might be a fun way to get an early start on the festivities.
You can find more event details and tickets here.

Still Looking for a Dublin Book Club?
Our recent question about book clubs in Dublin brought in some really helpful responses. We've heard from a number of people looking for a club, but also from people who already belong to one.
One reader introduced us to Bookclubs.com, a website and app where you can find local book clubs. She runs a Dublin group that's been meeting for years, getting together monthly at members' homes or local restaurants to discuss mostly fiction.
There's currently one Dublin group listed on the site, and some of the people who contacted us about their clubs are planning to add theirs too.
With more people looking for clubs and more groups potentially opening up, it makes sense to have one place where everyone can find each other rather than trying to coordinate individual introductions through Dublin Daily.
We also heard about Well Read Mom, a Christian book club for women with several chapters around Columbus. Despite the name, you don't need to be a mother to join, and the groups meet monthly from September through June.
That one sounds lovely too, although I personally found its website a little less intuitive to navigate. So that's the primary reason why I've been pointing people toward Bookclubs.com as a starting point, but both are worth exploring.
Hopefully, it'll be a little easier for more of us to find a book club close to home.

Get a Piece of Montgomery Inn or The Pint Room
If you ever ate at Montgomery Inn or spent an evening at the Pint Room, here's something you might find interesting.
Montgomery Inn closed in 2017, and its former building is now slated for demolition. And now, much of what's left inside is being sold off.
Nearly 600 items from the two former Dublin restaurants are up for auction. And it's not just the usual restaurant equipment. We're talking about the booths people sat in, the bar tops they gathered around, tables, chairs, signs, light fixtures and even doors and windows.
So if you've ever wanted a souvenir from one of Dublin's old restaurants, this is a rather unusual opportunity.
Bidding is already underway, with the auction closing October 29. An in-person preview is also expected on October 25.
You can check out the auction here.

A Note From Nick
You Asked How to Help. Here’s How.
A few of you have reached out asking how you can support Dublin Daily — and honestly, it means a lot just to hear that. Here's what actually helps.
The single biggest thing: forward this to a neighbor, a friend, or anyone who loves Dublin and might not know we exist yet. Word of mouth is everything for a local newsletter. Or just share dublinohiodaily.com next time Dublin comes up in conversation.
If you ever have a tip — a local business worth spotlighting, an event coming up, something happening in your neighborhood — hit reply and tell us. That's the fuel that keeps this going.
We also have sponsors who make Dublin Daily free. If something catches your eye, click their links — it makes a real difference.
Thanks for being here. Dublin is a better place to live when we're all looking out for each other — and that's really what all this is about.
— Nick
