Nobody's Going to Tell You the Truth About Your Makeup
Friends are too polite. The counter at the mall is trying to sell you something. So most of us just keep wearing what we've always worn, guessing.

Our makeup consultation is different — an honest, one-on-one read on what's working, what isn't, and why, with nothing to sell you but the truth.

Dublin Had a Dolly Parton Moment Yesterday
You may have noticed Gov. Mike DeWine and First Lady Fran DeWine were in Dublin yesterday. And they were here for a reason you probably wouldn’t guess.
Yesterday was officially Dolly Parton Day in Ohio.
The DeWines stopped by a Dublin Kroger to celebrate the day and the work Dolly’s Imagination Library has done across the state. The date — 9/25 — was picked as a nod to her song 9 to 5.
But there’s actually a pretty good reason Ohio is celebrating Dolly. Her Imagination Library now sends more than 432,000 Ohio kids a free book every month, and First Lady Fran DeWine has helped grow the program across all 88 counties.
And that includes plenty of kids right here in Dublin. Any Ohio child can get the books from birth until their fifth birthday, regardless of family income.
So if you’d like to get involved, you can sign up for the free books here — or help provide them to other Ohio kids by donating here.

Your Dog Has Plans in Dublin on Sunday
If your dog spends most Sundays waiting for you to do something interesting, this weekend you can finally deliver.
The Dublin Pet Fair takes over Coffman Park on Sunday, and apparently it’s been doing this for 14 years.
And it’s a pretty substantial event. Dozens of rescue groups, pet organizations and vendors will have booths set up, along with dog demonstrations, pet races, food trucks and animals available for adoption.
You can also get a few practical things taken care of while you’re there. There will be vaccinations and preventive care available, $15 nail trims and free microchips for the first 50 pets.
There’s also a Pet Fair 5K starting at 11 a.m. if you and your dog are feeling particularly ambitious. The fair itself runs noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Coffman Park.
And if you somehow come home with one more pet than you left with, don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Guilty Verdict in Crash That Killed Dublin Family
You may remember the horrible crash on I-71 back in April that killed a Dublin couple and their 1-year-old son.
Yesterday, the truck driver involved in the crash was found guilty on all charges.
The family was stopped in traffic near a construction zone in Delaware County when the semi struck the backed-up traffic, resulting in a nine-vehicle crash.
During the trial, investigators said there was no evidence the driver applied his brakes before the crash and estimated the first vehicle was struck at about 63 mph. The driver had said he was going about 25 mph and that another vehicle had moved in front of him, but investigators said the evidence didn’t support either claim.
The jury found him guilty of three counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and five counts of vehicular assault. He’ll be sentenced Oct. 29.
It’s an incredibly sad case all the way around, and one that has now changed several families forever.

You Asked How to Help. Here’s How.
A few of you have reached out asking how you can support Dublin Daily — and honestly, it means a lot just to hear that. Here's what actually helps.
The single biggest thing: forward this to a neighbor, a friend, or anyone who loves Dublin and might not know we exist yet. Word of mouth is everything for a local newsletter. Or just share dublinohiodaily.com next time Dublin comes up in conversation.
If you ever have a tip — a local business worth spotlighting, an event coming up, something happening in your neighborhood — hit reply and tell us. That's the fuel that keeps this going.
We also have sponsors who make Dublin Daily free. If something catches your eye, click their links — it makes a real difference.
Thanks for being here. Dublin is a better place to live when we're all looking out for each other — and that's really what all this is about.
