The Irish Festival Has a Free Back Door
Did you know that there's a free way into the Irish Festival? It's easy to miss if nobody tells you.
Every year, the festival opens its grounds with its own worship service on Sunday morning — right there among the tents and the crowds, with the gates open but not yet charging admission. This year that's 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Sunday. Show up for the service and you're in for free, no ticket required.
The Dublin Food Pantry usually has a collection going during that window — bring a can of food or a few dollars if you can, it goes straight to neighbors who need it.
Outside that window, it's the normal pricing everyone's used to. Kids 11 and under never pay, any day of the weekend.
So if Sunday morning works for your schedule, and especially if you were planning to go to church anyways, this is a great way to get in for free and enjoy the festival.

A Cheaper Way Home From the Irish Festival
The Irish Festival and a few pints often go together, and Dublin's making sure that ends with a Lyft instead of a set of keys.
The city's teamed up with Central Ohio Safe Ride to knock $10 off Lyft rides all festival weekend, part of its "More Dancing, Less Driving" campaign. To get your discount, simply open the Lyft app, go to Payment, add a Lyft Pass, and enter the code DUBLINIRISH26.
Officials are asking riders to use Dublin City Hall at 5555 Perimeter Drive for pickups and drop-offs — an easy spot to remember after a few hours of dancing, and it keeps traffic moving a lot better than everyone flagging rides curbside at Coffman Park.
The code isn't just for the festival, either — it also works for rides to and from Downtown Dublin, while supplies last.
Got friends heading down this weekend? Send them the code before you head out the door.

One Thing Every Parent Must Grab at the Irish Festival
If you’ve ever turned around for two seconds and your kid wasn’t where you expected, you know how fast your heart can start racing.
That’s why the Dublin Irish Festival has free Identi-Kid wristbands for kids all weekend. It only takes a minute to write your child’s name, age and your phone number on the band, but if your child gets separated from you, festival staff can use that information to help reunite you much more quickly.
You can pick up a wristband at any of the festival’s Safe Space tents before you head off to explore. While you’re there, organizers also recommend taking a quick photo of your child as you come through the gates. Hopefully you’ll never need either one, but if you do, you’ll have an up-to-date photo and an easy way for staff to contact you.
