Recent Dublin Jerome Grad Just Got Recruited — Again

If the name Krenzel rings a bell, it should. Brayden Krenzel — Dublin Jerome class of 2024, and the class valedictorian that year — just committed to Arkansas after two seasons pitching for Tennessee.

Recent Dublin Jerome Grad Just Got Recruited — Again

He's no stranger to the Razorbacks. Krenzel faced Arkansas three times last season, including twice in the Fayetteville Super Regional, and once threw 2.2 scoreless innings with five strikeouts against them. Coming out of high school, Perfect Game ranked him the No. 1 prospect in the entire state of Ohio, and he picked Tennessee over Ohio State and Kentucky.

And yes, that last name is the one you're thinking of. His dad is Craig Krenzel — the quarterback who led Ohio State to the 2002 national championship and went on to play for the Bears and the Bengals.

Good luck in Fayetteville, Brayden. We'll be rooting for you from here.

How Fast Is Too Fast for Dublin?

Have you seen the renderings coming out of City Hall lately? Pretty impressive stuff. There's a lot in the works for Dublin right now — some of it already happening, some of it still just a proposal. Looking at it all together, it's hard not to get a little excited.

Bridge Park is the one we know. Already here, busy, and still expanding. Riverview Village is now underway in Historic Dublin, backed by an $11 million city investment. Metro Center just got a full redesign vision adopted by City Council — 210 acres, though nothing's built yet. And near Cosgray Road, there's a proposal moving through the city's review process for a development its backers value at $900 million. Nothing's approved there yet either.

How Fast Is Too Fast for Dublin?

In all of this, I take a pause and ask: how fast is too fast?

Dublin’s already pulled this off once. Bridge Park showed what this place could become. But now we’re talking about several districts growing simultaneously, all needing residents, businesses, and investment to thrive.

Maybe that’s exactly the point — maybe Dublin’s reached the stage where it can support that kind of growth. Or maybe the harder part isn’t building these places. It’s creating enough momentum for all of them to succeed.

I’m curious what you think. Does this feel exciting? Or does it feel like too much at once? Hit reply and let me know.

The Best Job in Dublin Was Just Filled

Our hometown burger chain just named its first-ever Chief Tasting Officer, and the job is exactly what it sounds like.

The Best Job in Dublin Was Just Filled

The role went to Amber Luster, a media professional who beat out thousands of applicants. Her qualifications, according to Wendy's: a human mouth, a pulse, opinions, creativity, and taste. Her job now is basically to eat Wendy's and create content about it. Her go-to order, for the record, is the Son of Baconator combo with nuggets, honey mustard, and a Frosty.

The whole thing started as a contest, and Wendy's leaned all the way into the bit. The job posting asked things like whether you “care more about bacon than bottom lines”.

Whether this is actually the best job in Dublin is up for debate. But if you love Wendy's the way Luster does, it might just be.

If you ever have a tip — a local business worth spotlighting, an event coming up, something happening in your neighborhood — hit reply and tell us. That's the fuel that keeps this going.

We also have sponsors who make Dublin Daily free. If something catches your eye, click their links — it makes a real difference.

Thanks for being here. Dublin is a better place to live when we're all looking out for each other — and that's really what all this is about.
